This year, 17 clubs engaged 223 participants, with over half becoming members and many competing for the first time. The program also supported 10 individuals in gaining coaching qualifications. Clubs are encouraged to apply by January 18, 2026, to receive resources and join workshops.

Kerr emphasizes the importance of celebrating healthy, strong bodies to encourage young girls to stay in sports.

The UK government has unveiled a revised Environmental Improvement Plan, emphasizing expanded public access to green and blue spaces and a commitment to cleaner rivers and lakes. This plan includes a forthcoming Green Paper on access to nature, exploring increased access to unregulated waterways and new research into the health impacts of water pollution. Paddle UK welcomes these commitments but urges swift implementation to realize the benefits for water users and the environment.
