British rafting teams excelled at the IRF World Rafting Championships in Malaysia, securing three medals against fierce international competition. Notts Rafting Ladies led the charge with a gold and two silvers in the Masters Women's category, demonstrating remarkable consistency across various disciplines. Other British crews, including Red Rose Rafting, The Jolly Rogers, Team Phoenix, and Notts Raft Racing Under-23s, also showcased strong performances and gained invaluable experience on the global stage, highlighting their ongoing development in the sport.

Paddle UK is reopening applications for its 'Slalom Start' program, aiming to increase participation in canoe slalom. This year, 17 clubs engaged 223 participants, with over half becoming members and many competing for the first time. The program also supported 10 individuals in gaining coaching qualifications. Clubs are encouraged to apply by January 18, 2026, to receive resources and join workshops.
